|Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults-
RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) is a series of sessions meant to help non Catholic adults encounter Jesus Christ and understand the Catholic faith through study of the Bible and Church teachings. The weekly sessions are free and open to whomever is interested in learning more about the Catholic faith. Regardless of your faith background or non-faith background, if you are seeking or discerning a life of faith in the Catholic Church and would like answers to your questions in a friendly, non-confrontational environment, our RCIA classes may just be the right place for you. These sessions are for the baptized and unbaptized alike. Each week a different topic is discussed and time is allowed for you to ask questions. There is no cost. Just come as you are, but with respect for those whose background may be different from your own.
For those unbaptized (Catechumens) who find the answers they are seeking in Christ and His church and wish to be Baptized; for those already baptized into a different faith who wish to become members of the Catholic Church (Candidates), all are welcomed into the Church on Easter Vigil after several months of prayer and reflection.
If you were baptized Catholic and seek to return to the practice of your faith or merely wish to renew your faith and deepen your knowledge of Christ and His Church, you are also welcome to attend our weekly sessions which are from 9:15 AM – 10:15 AM Sunday mornings beginning in September and ending in June. Please contact the RCIA director for the exact schedule.
RCIA is under the direction of Chris Veneklase.
